A game built specifically for your kid, for personal, non-commercial use — to be played and shared with family and friends, not resold, redistributed publicly, or used commercially. Think of it like a personalized birthday gift, not a licensed product.
Base-tier games are hosted on itch.io and delivered as a link. We intend to keep games hosted and playable for a long time (we're considering committing to a minimum term of around 10 years) — but we can't make an absolute guarantee against something outside our control, like itch.io shutting down or Birthdaycade itself closing. If either happens, we'll do our best to give you advance notice and a way to save a copy.
Premium-tier apps are published to the Apple App Store under our developer account. Apple's own policies govern how long an app stays listed and available for download — that's outside our control too.
Every character we build is original — we don't use licensed or copyrighted characters (no Mario, no Elsa, no branded characters of any kind), and we won't accept requests to include them.
